A farm stay in the Cape Winelands
Good wine, open skies, and
four cottages to call your own for a while.
Duikersdrift sits in the Tulbagh Valley, a quiet corner of the Cape Winelands, about 90 minutes from Cape Town. It’s a working wine and olive farm, and a place to stay when you’re ready to trade the city for open skies and something good in your glass. Our boutique cottages look out across the vineyards and the mountains that frame the valley, and the days here tend to find their own pace. Whether you’re here for a night or a long weekend, there’s always a bottle open and no reason to rush.
Farm Cottages with Wood-Fired Hot Tubs in Tulbagh
Wake up to mountain views from one of our four self-catering farm cottages – designed for couples or families, and built for proper switching off. Each cottage has its own wood-fired hot tub, a fireplace for the evenings, and everything you need to settle in and stay a while. There’s also a shared pool for the warmer months, and backup power so nothing interrupts the peace.

Duikersdrift wines
Duikersdrift is a boutique wine estate, producing four wines in small batches of fewer than 2,000 bottles a year, each made by hand. Our wines – Orion, Lunar, Venus and Aurora – are named after members of our resident donkey herd. Fitting, given that donkeys were said to be the companions of Dionysus, the god of wine. Small production, good wine, and eight donkeys keeping watch over it all.
More than just a farm stay
A stay at Duikersdrift tends to become more than you planned for. Meet the donkeys, settle into a self-paced wine tasting delivered straight to your cottage, unwind with a massage, join the Saturday Parkrun, or arrange a professional photoshoot to make the most of the setting. The farm has more going on than first meets the eye, and most guests leave wishing they’d booked an extra night.
