Planted in 2006 and having in the past contributed to award-winning wine, the Duikersdrift Shiraz vineyard was, for a number of years under previous ownership, reserved for exclusive personal use.  The current owners, on purchasing the farm, believed that the exceptional potential of the vineyard was not being realised and in 2018 began the process of nurturing the vines through the drought with a view to creating a new and dynamic range of wines under the Duikersdrift label.  This process was managed by our dedicated team and overseen by winemaker Dirk Swanepoel of the nearby Oude Compagnies Post Winery.  This is where Duikersdrift grapes are turned into bottled magic with absolutely no compromise on quality.  The maiden vintage of 2020 has not disappointed, with a sublime Shiraz and a classy Chenin.  With further nurturing and increased yields after a bumper 2021 harvest, we are excited with the early showing of our Port and Red Blend and cannot wait to have these on show later in the year!
