We have a philosophy of promoting social and environmental well-being and carefully select all our suppliers to ensure that the products in our deli & farmstall range meet this criteria. This also holds true for the fresh produce used to create dishes of the finest quality in our restaurant and deli. Wherever possible we use fresh ingredients from our own vegetable and herb garden and produce items for the deli in our own kitchen. We are committed to providing meals that are healthy, natural and wholesome. A meal at Duikersdrift is not a rushed affair. Food is made fresh to order with an emphasis on uncompromised quality. Wherever possible we support local and regional artisans and producers with specific emphasis on projects that support and uplift disadvantaged communities.
Our service staff would be happy to assist with recommendations on pairing our wines or craft beers with your preferred meals. We can also provide platters to accompany tastings.
COUNTRY KITCHEN
Until Parkrun is again allowed, Obiqua will be closed to the public for Saturday morning breakfast. When Parkrun is open, Saturday mornings are a relaxed outdoor affair with a smoking braai and a ‘market’ atmosphere from 8am when the Duikersdrift Parkrun gets underway and participants, visitors and in-house guests can all ‘hang-out’ with great convenience meals at the fire or at picnic benches under the trees while soaking up the views. Sunday morning breakfast is an altogether different affair with an extensive and more traditional menu and offers arguably the best breakfast experience in the Valley!
Seating is limited and reservations are essential for any meal at Obiqua. It is the ideal location for small functions and celebrations and our team will gladly assist with specific requests, dietary requirements and a variety of catering options for on- and off-site events.
Obiqua Café is Fully Licensed and offers a diverse selection of alcoholic beverages. The wine list show-cases cellars of the Tulbagh Valley.
The restaurant operates on a reservations system. Please be sure to book your table for lunch and dinner (and breakfast on Sunday) in advance to avoid disappointment. Arrivals without reservations will only be accommodated if there are no imminent reservation arrivals and the seating capacity is not reached.

An absolute gem in the Tulbagh valley. Tucked away on Duikersdrift away from the hustle and bustle of town. The food is of outstanding quality and the portions are really generous.
And another big plus is that they cater for kids as well. There is a huge play area where the kids can enjoy themselves. There is also nappy changing facilities in the bathrooms.
If you want a venue where the food is fresh and amazingly tasty, the service is always with a genuine smile and very thorough, your kids have a wonderful time between drawing on the board, playing on the jungle gym and stroking the gorgeous donkeys, then go to Obiqua Café!!

I was taken to this restaurant on Friday afternoon. Driving in to the property I didn’t know what to expect! What a surprise… Food was of superb quality. So well presented. I was extremely impressed with their winelist. This is really a gem. When I visit my family in future I will definitely go there for a meal again.
