Obiqua Café is a family-orientated country-style restaurant in Tulbagh, offering a contemporary menu with a farm-to-table philosophy. Mountain vistas, tranquility, indoor and outdoor seating areas, cosy fireplaces, children’s play area, and a charming, laid-back atmosphere make Obiqua the ideal venue to while away lazy days in the Winelands. Our restaurant is open to cottage guests and farm visitors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and takeaway meals are also available to order.

As a family-friendly restaurant, children are welcome to have fun in the outdoor playground and well-behaved canine companions are welcome to join you in our outdoor seating area.
Seating is limited and reservations are essential for any meal at Obiqua. It’s the ideal location for small functions and celebrations and our team will gladly assist with specific requests, dietary requirements and a variety of catering options for on- and off-site events.

With sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, Duikersdrift makes for one of the best picnic spots in Tulbagh. Prepared by Obiqua Café’s Deli using only the freshest ingredients, our deliciously wholesome and hearty picnic baskets offer a ‘rustic & rural’ dining experience with options catering to foodies, couples, families, children and vegetarians. The Deli will also happily assist with vegan and other dietary preferences if discussed and arranged in advance.
For visitors staying at self-catering establishments in the valley, or for those who have a late arrival or want something light after a full day out, Obiqua Deli also offers ‘in-room dining’ hampers.

Situated in Obiqua Café, our Farmstall / Cold Deli is a delight for those wanting a range of top-quality products. With an emphasis on stocking items that are recyclable, renewable, organic and above all healthy and wholesome, visitors are treated to a range of carefully-sourced cured meats, biltong, cheeses, dairy products, juices, preserves, breads and other baked items, and more. Our talented kitchen team have created a signature range of fresh and tasty salsas, pestos and dips, while Duikersdrift olives are transformed into a variety of wonderfully flavoured whole olives and tapenades.
Our Deli also offers a wide selection of meals available for takeaway. Obiqua Cafe’s takeaway menu has been carefully crafted to offer a variety of farm-fresh meals for those on-the-go or looking for a cosy night in.

Duikersdrift offers an ideal setting to savor the rich tapestry of life’s finest flavors. Rather than being a conventional winery tasting room where the focus is purely on wines, the Obiqua Café tasting experience also offers a select range of artisanal beers, cheeses, and delectable tasting platters. The emphasis is on sitting back in a relaxed, homely environment with friends and family while our knowledgeable staff provide an understanding the nuances of how best to pair your favourite foods with your alcoholic beverage of choice – be it wine, beer or gin cocktail.

We have a philosophy of promoting social and environmental well-being and carefully select all our suppliers to ensure that the products in our deli and farmstall range meet this criteria. This also holds true for the fresh produce used to create dishes of the finest quality in our restaurant and deli. Wherever possible we use fresh ingredients from our own vegetable and herb garden and produce items for the deli in our own kitchen. We are committed to providing meals that are healthy, natural and wholesome. Wherever possible we support local and regional artisans and producers with specific emphasis on projects that support and uplift disadvantaged communities.
