If a more ‘rustic & rural’ culinary experience is preferred, a variety of delectable picnics can be pre-ordered (24hr notice or 4hrs prior on same day) and are available daily from 10h00 – 17h00. These, and ‘build your own’ baskets from our Deli can be enjoyed on the lawn or at secluded picnic sites at the dam.
Note: A deposit for equipment is required to reserve a picnic basket, which is refundable when the basket, picnic equipment & blanket are returned in good order.

There are a range of different baskets on offer catering to foodies, couples, families, children and vegetarians. The Deli will happily assist with vegan and other dietary preferences if discussed and arranged in advance. Wine is not included in the baskets but can be added from our Deli selection. The Duikersdrift Deli Kitchen also offers an alternative menu of wholesome, mouth-watering light meals to be enjoyed with or without picnics in an informal outdoor setting, or as a take-away meal to be enjoyed while touring.
For visitors staying at self-catering establishments in the valley, or for those who have a late arrival or want something light after a full day out, the Deli also offers ‘in-room dining’ hampers. Please enquire with the Deli or your establishment for options.
The Farmstall / Cold Deli is a delight for those wanting a range of top-quality products. With an emphasis on stocking items that are recyclable, renewable, organic and above all healthy and wholesome, visitors are treated to a range of carefully-sourced cured meats, biltong, cheeses, dairy products, juices, preserves, breads and other baked items, sweet treats, honey, sauces and other condiments, frozen meals, olive products, and a range of non-food items. There is an extensive range of products in the Deli that are made at Duikersdrift.
Our talented kitchen team have created a signature range of fresh and tasty salsas, pestos and dips while our olives are transformed into a variety of wonderfully flavoured whole olives and tapenades. The award-winning Duikersdrift EVOO is a superbly-balanced medium olive oil that goes perfectly with our salads and freshly-baked breads.
