Directions

  1. Take the N1 outbound towards Paarl.
  2. Travel until you reach exit 47 and turn left onto the R44 signposted Stellenbosch/Klapmuts/Wellington.
  3. At the stop sign intersection, turn left onto the R44 toward Wellington and continue until you reach Wellington.
  4. At Wellington, turn left at a set of traffic lights onto Distillery St toward Porterville/Ceres.
  5. Carry on through Wellington and onto the R46, eventually reaching the Nuwekloof pass.
  6. 2.5km after exiting the Pass, turn left signposted Tulbagh.
  7. Take your first left, signposted Rhodes Food Group, and continue straight passing Montpellier on your left.
  8. At the stop sign, continue straight over the intersection onto the gravel road ahead. After another 2km, the Duikersdrift entrance will be on your left.
  1. Take the N7 northbound towards Malmesbury.
  2. Take exit 65 on your left, then keep right heading towards Malmesbury/Ceres.
  3. At the first junction, turn left heading into the town.
  4. Continue past the silos on your right. At the second set of traffic lights after the silos, turn left onto Voortrekker St.
  5. After 100m, turn right onto Rainier St towards Paarl/Ceres.
  6. After 300m, turn right onto R45 towards Paarl/Riebeek-Kasteel. Travel straight for 3.8 km.
  7. Turn left onto the R46 toward Riebeek-Kasteel/Ceres.
  8. Travel straight on the R46 over Bothmanskloof Pass, passing Riebeek-Kasteel, until reaching Hermon.
  9. At the Hermon T-junction, turn left towards Porterville/Ceres.
  10. Travel straight on the R46, driving through the Nuwekloof pass.
  11. 2.5km after the Pass, turn left signposted Tulbagh.
  12. Take your first left, signposted Rhodes Food Group, and continue straight passing Montpellier on your left.
  13. At the stop sign, continue straight over the intersection onto the gravel road ahead. After another 2km, the Duikersdrift entrance will be on your left.

Obiqua Café Mongolian Stir-Fry Thursdays

Visit Obiqua Cafe at Duikersdrift for a unique and interactive dining experience every Thursday night. Create your own stir-fry by choosing from a selection of delicious ingredients and watch our talented chef cook up your meal in front of you. Mongolian Stir-Fry Thursdays make for the perfect date-night or social event with friends and family.

Duikersdrift Parkrun

Duikersdrift is proud to be the home of Tulbagh’s only Parkrun event. The Duikersdrift Parkrun features a 5km (3.1mi) trail run that winds throughout the farm, across different outdoor terrain. Parkrun is a free and fun event that takes place every Saturday at 8am and everyone is welcome to join, whether you prefer to walk, jog, run, spectate, or volunteer. After the event, head over to the restaurant to enjoy a post Parkrun coffee and socialize with fellow runners.

Tulbagh Christmas In Winter

Marvel at Christmas trimmings and glittering lights, browse arts, crafts, galleries, and shops. Enjoy cheese and olive tastings, pony rides,  face painting and tractor trips for the little ones. Take a scenic tractor trip up Oudekloof Pass or go on a horseback outride or Zipslide adventure. Join winemakers for tastings, tours, and activities. Experience log fires, Christmas trees, winter lunches, and traditional fare at restaurants. The Winterland Blues Festival will be held at The Bike Forge and a music event at Reflections Guest Farm. Ticket includes programme, entrance to 5 Museums, and a chance to win a R30,580 prize at Aquila Private Game Reserve. Gate takings support CHAIN – Community Helping Animals in Need.

Experience the rich cultural heritage through locally made traditional dishes and tasty treats. It will be a day of family entertainment, music, fun events, and an opportunity for visitors to spend the weekend in the country reliving days gone by.

This year the highlight of the event will be a wine auction presented by Beyers Truter.
