Christmas in Winter 2024 Competition
1- The promoter is SBG Holdco (Pty) Ltd t/a Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape.
2- The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over except employees of SBG Holdco (Pty) Ltd and Catering Ideas (Pty) Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
3- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. The entrant furthermore agrees that photos submitted can be used by the promoter for marketing and advertising purposes.

6- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
7- Opening date for entry is 6pm CAT on 28 June 2024, and closing date for entry will be 11am CAT on 30 June 2024. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
8- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
9- The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: Entrants must post a photo taken at Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape during the Christmas in Winter 2024 Event to Facebook or Instagram. Entrants must tag the Duikersdrift socia media profile on the entry platform used, and must include the hashtag #XmasAtDuikersdrift in the image caption.
10- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
11- The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
12- The prize is as follows: 1st prize: A one-night stay for two at Duikersdrift, a Ceres Zipline Adventures voucher for two, a Duikersdrift picnic for 2, and a bottle of Duikersdrift wine.
2nd prize: A dinner for 2 at Obiqua Cafe, and a bottle of Duikersdrift wine.
3rd prize: A Buchanan’s beer tasting or Duikersdrift wine tasting at Obiqua Cafe, and a bottle of Duikersdrift wine.
The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
13- Winners will be chosen by the Promoter.
14- The winner will be notified by direct message on Facebook and/or Instagram within 2 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 3 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
15- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected/is delivered.
16- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
18- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
19- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and entry in any publicity material.
20- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or any other Social Network.
Terms
Safety
- The speed limit on the farm is 20km/h - please watch out for other vehicles, pedestrians, children, and animals.
- Please be aware that our swimming pool has a depth of 1.8 meters and is not covered. For the safety of children, parental supervision is required at all times near the pool area. Additionally, we request that no glass objects be brought into the pool for the safety of all individuals.
- We have several resident farm animals, such as donkeys, cows, and horses. To ensure the safety of both guests and animals, guests are not permitted to enter the paddocks. Children who would like to visit the farm animals should do so under adult supervision.
- Parents and/or adults are responsible for the supervision and safety of children in their care at all times.
- Snakes are present on our farm, as is typical in many parts of South Africa. While snake sightings are infrequent and the risk of bites is low, we advise guests to watch where they walk, stay on designated paths, and avoid walking through tall grass to minimize the possibility of encountering a snake.

Payment
- 50% deposit is required in advance to secure cottage bookings. Please email proof of payment to res@duikersdrift.com within 48 hours of booking.
- Any outstanding balances must be paid one week (7 days) prior to arrival.
- Payment can be made via EFT or credit card via Paybridge. We regret that American Express or Diners Club cards are not accepted.
- The ID/Passport of the cardholder is required at check-in, and the credit card used for online payment must be presented at check-in.
Terms
Cancellation & Postponement
- All cancellations and/or amendments must be made in writing.
- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.
- No refund is available for "no-shows" (non-arrivals without written cancellation).
- In the event of a premature departure, the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged.
- Postponement may be requested but is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.

- We reserve the right to amend these terms & conditions at any time without prior notice, and these amendments apply to all of our listings directly or indirectly made available through any channel or platform whatsoever.
- By accessing, browsing and using our website or any of our listings through whatever platform and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
- Rates are per cottage, per night and are subject to change without prior notice. We reserve the right to alter or amend tariffs and tariff periods without prior notice.

Indemnity
RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS
By entering Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape, staying on its premises or utilizing any of its facilities you do so entirely at your own risk.
You, on behalf of yourself and your dependants, knowingly waive, release, indemnify, hold harmless, forever discharge and absolve the owners, directors, officers, management, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, associated entities or persons acting for or on their behalf (“hereinafter referred to as “the Parties”), from and against any and all claims, expenses, liabilities, losses or damages, irrespective of whether as a result of any act or omission of any person or from any cause whatsoever.
The Parties will not be liable for any claims, expenses, liabilities, losses or damages, including but not limited to, injury, illness, paralysis, death, loss, loss of or damage to property, whether as a result of negligence or any cause whatsoever.
